Melissa Lag is a mommy and wife from the stunning Hudson Valley, New York. She started her career in finance, working five days a week in the office, and later transitioned to a work-from-home position.  Melissa is currently a stay-at-home mom, with kids ranging in age from preschool through young adult.

When she's not writing children's books, you might find her engrossed in her artwork, digging in the garden, or baking up some treats for the local farmer's market.

Melissa was born in Dutchess County in rural upstate Rhinebeck, New York.  Her family later moved to Modena in Ulster County, where she attended Wallkill schools, the college at SUNY Ulster, and State University of New York at New Paltz.

When she was 18, Melissa moved to Orange County's Town of New Windsor, where she has proudly called home for over 30 years.
